1. Vacuum carpet thoroughly to remove loose dirt.
2. For best results, especially with old or large stains and odors, pre-treat the area with a solution of 5 parts of very warm water to 1 part shampoo. A good way to apply the pre-treat solution is with a garden type pressure sprayer.
3. Mix 4 ounces of shampoo with each gallon of very warm water (90 to 100 degrees).
4. Let shampoo stand in water 5 to 10 minutes (this lets the bacteria create enzymes) to make the shampoo work to its potential.
5. Clean carpet and upholstery following machine users guide.
6. Allow carpet to dry thoroughly before opening to traffic.
