How does MoldZyme compare to Bleach and Chlorine-based products?
Bleach & Chlorine-based Products
|
MoldZyme
|
Bleach decomposes in the presence of water, and the remaining water encourages mold growth. |
The enzymes in MoldZyme are resistant to decomposition and continue to be effective until the water is completely evaporated. |
Studies have demonstrated that bleach loses 50% of its effectiveness over a period of 3 months. The end result is a relatively short shelf-life. |
MoldZyme has a shelf-life of approximately 2+ years and does not lose its effectiveness or potency over time. |
The chemical properties of bleach prevent it from effectively penetrating porous surfaces such as wood, sheet rock, grout, and concrete. |
An important advantage of MoldZyme is that it effectively penetrates porous surfaces. |
Bleach is a known oxidant that causes deterioration of a wide variety of surfaces and contributes to color fading. |
MoldZyme is safe for any surface that is not harmed by water. In addition, it leaves an antimagnetic coating that inhibits build-up of dirt and dust. |
Chlorine bleach releases gases that are known to be harmful to animal and plant life. One of the known effects in humans is pulmonary embolism |
MoldZyme does not give off harmful gases and is known to be non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and safe for humans, animals, marine, and plant life. |
Contains toxic, unpleasant odors and masking agents. |
MoldZyme is fragrance free and does not mask odors. (i.e., cover unpleasant odors with another pleasant odor) |
Is not recommended for use on the outside of homes and is not biodegradable. |
MoldZyme can safely be used indoors and outdoors without harming the environment. It is readily biodegradable. |
