Safecoat Interior DuroStain

This premium quality, fast-curing flat finish, semi-transparent stain is ideal for interior wood surfaces. It promotes penetration of porous surfaces and has high adhesion for superior protection as a decorative colorant. It has excellent pigmentation stability and is a durable stain. It contains no aniline dyestuffs, no gilsonite or asphalt, no aromatic solvents and no formaldehyde. Use on: all wood surfaces.

Use On: Safecoat DuroStain is recommended for all wood surfaces.

Coverage: One gallon of Safecoat DuroStain covers approximately 300 square feet in one coat depending on surface porosity and the intensity of the stain color desired.

Drying/Curing Time: Under normal conditions, Safecoat DuroStain dries to touch in one hour and is recoatable after two hours. Normal conditions include a dry surface, access to fresh air flow, moderate humidity, and temperatures above 55F. Thick application, high humidity or conditions other than normal will cause Safecoat to dry and cure more slowly.

 DuroStain Colors
Below is a link to a PDF of Safecoat DuroStain applied to red oak (please note that few computer monitors render color precisely, and accordingly the image you see may vary dramatically from the original picture and stained wood).  The appearance of stained wood is actually a blend of several factors - wood species, the woods natural color and texture, the color of the stain, lighting and method of application.  In order to determine the stain's final effect, test the color on a sample of the wood to be finished.

Note: Water based stains perform differently than oil based stains. Please read the directions on the can carefully before using. It is very important to test DuroStain in a small section of the surface to be stained to be sure shade and intensity of color is acceptable.
