Use On: Walls, ceilings, wallboard, properly cured and primed plaster, masonry and primed metal.
Coverage: One gallon of Safecoat Flat Paint covers approximately 350 square feet in one coat depending on surface porosity. Untreated drywall will require several coats.
Drying/Curing Time: Under normal conditions, Safecoat Flat Paint dries to touch in one hour. Wait at least four hours before applying each additional coat - longer if rainy or high humidity conditions prevail. Normal conditions include a dry surface, access to fresh air flow, moderate humidity, and temperatures above 55F. Thick application, high humidity or conditions other than normal will cause Safecoat Flat Paint to dry and cure more slowly.

As a very chemically sensitive person who is used to getting migraines and sore throats and just generally not feeling well when exposed to chemicals I recently purchased the AMF Safecoat flat paint to paint my son's bedroom.
I was apprehensive as I tried to paint my bedroom last year and ended up having to stop when I was knocked down with cluster migraines. It was very disappointing.
Well, I read the reviews on this paint after much research on line and bought a beautiful blue-gray color for my son's room that he chose. I was in the room for five hours the day we were painting. I was very worried but I had absolutely no symptoms of allergy or sensitivity to the paint. It has been a week since we painted the room and I am fine.
I am so thrilled that I have found a paint that is so safe for me. I will be painting the trim and baseboards and doors this weekend to finish the room. I think that anyone who is sensitive as I am might want to give this paint a try. Some others might say they are low VOC and safe, but I haven't found that to be the case. They also have cancer causing agents in them that AMF does not have, which is very important to me. I don't usually write reviews but I thought this one was important for others who might be similar to me. I would definitely give it a try and it will be the only paint that I will be buying in the future! Thanks again Healthy Home!

As a person with multiple chemical sensitivity , sometimes even the most well-known "non-toxic" products cause me to have allergic reactions. It is often quite worrisome to try new products. For that reason I have come to rely on Tom Chasm and HealthyHome products for help that has been crucial to my health and wellbeing. HealthyHome's AFM Safecoat paint is the only paint I have been able to use, among all the "special” non-VOC paints (I tried 10 of them!).
Also, I react very badly to polyurethane and looked to Tom for help. The AFM Safecoat Polyureseal BP was the only product I could use to coat my 2600 square feet of new hardwood floors without any adverse reaction whatsover. This was amazing to me!
Additionally, The Airfree Onix 3000 air purifiers really did make rooms free of musty, mold and mildew smells. These and other products, along with Tom's guidance and advice have taken the worry out of home buying, home maintenance and home building for me!
